We believe in making an active contribution to society as a whole. To demonstrate this, Making Change Happen is making charity contributions from each and every licence sale, to nominated charities.

This has been something we have been considering for a while, however when we were told that MPC was short listed in the prestigious E-Learning Awards 2007, in the category of 'Most Innovative Application of Learning Technology', we took decisive action.

Subsequently, winning the 2007/8 E-learning Award means a lot to us. Its a huge vindication of our intentions to use learning technology in a very different way, to inspire and motivate engagement, along everyone's own hero's journey.

To celebrate this major achievement we have decided to make significant £ contributions from every MPC licence sale, to specially chosen charities.

We will be donating £8 from every MPC licence sale, to the following charities (£2 each): -

	The Hunger Project - www.thp.org "In Africa, the THP "epicentre" strategy brings people from an abject poverty to self-reliance in five years, at a cost of £4 pounds ($8 US) per person, per year" Ekaterina Mitiaev, THP-UK

	Global Angels - www.globalangels.org "For £40 you can feed and educate a child for a whole year!" Natalie Coles, Global Angels Co-ordinator

	Sri Lanka Child Care - www.sri-lanka-child-care.com "£6.00 a month pays for accommodation, food, education, transport and school materials for each child" Debbie Rawlinson, Sri Lanka Child Care.

	Macmillan Cancer Support - www.macmillan.org.uk £144 could fund a Macmillan nurse for one day. £124 could fund a physiotherapist for one day. £106 could fund a Cancer Information and Support Services Manager for one day. Every pound spent on the Benefits Helpline allows people affected by cancer to find out about £33.33 of financial support (benefits etc) to which they are entitled.

We are in the process of approaching these and other charities, to offer MPC usage and any customisations 'at cost', to assist their organisations with their management and leadership capability building. We want to help them to become better and more effective at delivering their tangible support, to those in need, in the UK and across the world.
